Wet Ground Mica powder

Wet Ground Mica Powder
Mica Powder in various forms is obtained by grinding/breaking mica Flakes, which is a slow, costly and extremely complicated process, because of the scrap being tough and having a plate like structure. We have developed processes which give excellent brilliance and high luster Mica Powder. Our wet ground powder is far superior in quality due to our unique process systems in Washing, Refining, Grinding, screening and drying. Our manufacturing technique retains the structure of Mica Flakes, reduces thickness ratio, makes higher purity, higher whiteness, higher pearly luster, high smooth finish, lower sand and iron content etc. We use raw materials from specific mines to get the high quality and competitive price. Some special feathers like thin, Flat and smooth surface, Good skin adhesion, High Slip, High spread, Very good Transparency, high glossiness, high oil absorption, high bulk density etc. makes our Wet Ground Mica Powder excellent to use.

Uses Of Wet Ground MICA Powder:-

PEARLESCENT PIGMENT :- MUSCOVITE WET GROUND MICA POWDER of superior quality having low iron contents, Very thin, Flat and smooth surface, Good skin adhesion, High Slip, High spread, Very good Transparency, high glossiness, are used in large proportion in production of PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS, because of its reflective and refractive properties and its ability to reproduce artificially a "mother of pearl" or nacreous colours from silver white through all shades of the rainbow varying from a silky luster to a glittering sparkle. Mica have a high refractive index (greater than sparkle. Mica have high refractive index (greater than 2.5) and a good chemical, mechanical and thermal stability. We are producing a wide range of Wet Ground Mica Powder like 5-25, 10-60, 10-40, 10-100, 20-100, 30-70, 40-200, 40-300 micron for Pearlescent Pigment Industries.

PAINT AND COATING INDUSTRY :- In the Paint and coating industry, ground mica is used as a pigment extender that also facilitates suspension, reduces chalking, prevents shrinking and shearing of the paint film, increases resistance of the paint film to water penetration and weathering, and brightness the tone of colored pigments.

Muscovite Mica is chemically inert and resistant against most acids, heat and Oxidation. It is dissoluble in water and completely Neutral. The importance of Muscovite Mica for the formulation of coatings and wall finishes is due to its distinctive lamellar structure. It forms an efficient water barrier for the system, so it improves the adhesive strength of the coating and also gives mechanical stability of the coating. The manual application of coating and wall finish system containing Mica is easily processable. Wet Ground Mica serves as a Lubricant and spreads the coating regularly and makes an Armouring effect. It has a lamellar structure so correcting cracks by bridging over, lapping over and bearing intermediately. Thus the coating system is reining forced. In wall coating of high PVC, Mica may reduce shine and provide a desired matting effect. In corrosion protection, Muscovite Mica provides good adhesion for the coating. Heavily pigmented anti-corrosion paints tending to sedimentation effects due to their typical high density, they can easily be re-dispersed with mica. By adding Mica to marine paints, the resistance under water and at the water surface line are improved. Mica acts as a UV filter, which delays the degradation of the adhesive agent and untimely yellowing caused by sunbeams.

Applications of PARAS Wet Ground Mica for paint and coating Industry: Exterior, Interior, Cementitious, Block filler, Roof, Stucco, Automotive, Metal, Solar Energy, Foundry Coatings, High Temperature, Marine, Wood Stains, Pool, industrial primers etc.
